Erotica and pornography have been around for centuries and women have probably been asking the same question for the same length of time! Men are visually stimulated whereas women generally are not. Pornography is a manifestation of the large fantasy component in human sexuality. Pornography in the form of internet, videos, photographs and magazines is prevalent in our society. Some couples watch videos together to arouse sexual interest whilst other people use it as a substitute instead of having real sexual partner.

Remember, this is FANTASY, not reality and so too should it be for your husband. I think you need to ask  calmly about why he feels the need to use internet porn and come to some kind of compromise if he is going to continue. If this is unacceptable to you, explain to him how you feel about it and that it makes you feel unloved or inadequate when does this.

The porn industry is massive and is everywhere. You only have to watch the TV late on Saturday nights to see virtual porn on our TV channels. They are even making “women-friendly pornography” now to tap into female market. It always amazes me that there is still a market for porn magazines which sell thousands of copies month after month despite the availability of porn on the internet.

There are some men that become addicted to internet porn. There have been cases of men being disciplined at work for spending 6-7 hours a day internet porn sites. These people obviously need professional help to overcome their addiction.

Pornography is freely available but I think it is a personal choice as to whether you allow it into your home, your relationship and your life.
